OUR TREATMENT MODALITIES

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT encourages patients to explore the interaction of thoughts, feelings and actions. An emphasis is placed on perceptive thought and how these thoughts impact our emotions which then impact our behavior. In substance use treatment, CBT is used to provide insight into the connection of these variables and create positive changes through the alteration of cognitive processes and automatic thought.

Motivational Interviewing

MI is useful in exploring and motivating changes in risky behavior through supportive discussion and deliberate questioning. This technique assists clinicians in understanding the role of substance use in one’s life. This therapy is personalized, and strengths based, an individualized plan for change will be created collaboratively and set at a pace that works for you.

Trauma Informed Therapy

Trauma focused therapy helps an individual and clinical team understand how their traumatic experiences have a impact on their mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. An individual who has experienced trauma will understand the connection between the trauma and his or her emotional and behavioral responses.

EMDR

EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy treatment that is used to alleviate any distress that is associated with traumatic memories. The clinical team will use this as a treatment for addiction. It can reduce any negative feelings that come with addiction and prevent the chance of relapse. This psychotherapy has been found to effectively treat other mood and anxiety disorders including phobias, depression and panic disorders.

Internal Family Systems

This form of therapy emphasizes the multiple layers and aspects of ourselves and our minds. We are all made up of intricate systems that interact to form the self. Licensed professionals will work with you to create a better understanding of the interconnectedness of each aspect of the mind and body. This will result in a balance where all parts of the self work in harmony to further your recovery from substance use.

Mindfulness Based Therapy

Our licensed professionals will use mindfulness based therapy to help you be more present and aware in your daily life. This technique encourages nonjudgmental awareness and acceptance of thoughts and feelings that may trigger substance use. A new awareness will simultaneously help you understand yourself in a new, more positive light while elevating self-esteem, confidence and thoughtful decision-making.
