Nurse Practitioner

Casey Williams was born and raised in Warwick, Rhode Island, Casey attended Salve Regina University in Newport, RI and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science. She then accepted a registered nurse position at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA working with adult and pediatric patients on a medical-surgical unit. While at this position, she became involved with the addiction medicine team and completed multiple community projects to raise awareness related to safe opioid prescribing and naltrexone administration. Simultaneously, she continued her education at Salve Regina University and obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing Science and became a certified nurse practitioner with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. After that, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Rhode Island College with a final thesis focus on opioid use disorders. 

Casey is currently practicing in primary care in Providence, RI with a special interest in addiction medicine, treating opioid and alcohol use disorders. She often utilizes medication assisted treatments in the care of her patient populations. She is well versed in co-occurring psychiatric conditions that contribute to addictive disorders, as well as multi-modal treatment options. Casey is very attentive, compassionate, and thorough in utilizing a nursing basis and perspective to help create a comprehensive treatment plan for patient’s individual needs.
